Attention and trust are different resources

A provocative opening may earn attention and still cost trust. A useful post may reach a smaller audience while giving existing followers a reason to return. The game makes those competing aims visible through followers, cash, trust and energy.

Begin a chapter with a question: do I want discovery, a stronger relationship with regulars or more customer enquiries? Choose a matching strategy. After the response, look for the trade-off rather than simply celebrating the largest number.

Try a three-post learning challenge

1. Make a promise. Choose what your audience should expect from you. Write it in one sentence.
2. Make a deliberate choice. For each post, explain why the opening, visual and audience fit that promise.
3. Read the consequences. Compare the feed response and resource changes. Respond to the follower message and partnership offer.
4. Reflect. Which choice protected trust? Which spent energy or cash? What would you try differently next chapter?

You can use this exercise alone or compare stories with a friend. Everyone has their own career; it is not a live multiplayer competition.
